The County Engineer's Office is responsible for the design and general road maintenance of the Secondary Road System in Lyon County. There are 245 miles of hard-surface roads, 755 miles of gravel roads, and 245 bridges in the county.

We have a repair shop in each town in Lyon County where our equipment is housed. There are 27 employees in this department.

CURRENT NEWS...

Work on L26 and A46 is nearing completion as shoulders are being constructed with pavement markings to follow. L26 incorporated Cold in Place Recycling to insure that the transverse cracks do not come through to the surface insuring a smooth ride and a durable road for many years.
