A motion to approve the minutes as printed was made by Leonard Vanden Bosch and supported by Wes Koedam. Motion carried. New Business Supervisor Chairman Randy Bosch led a discussion on the viability of the 28 E Agreement between the Cities and Lyon County. After extensive discussion, it was the consensus of both Boards that the 28 E Agreement had ceased to work effectively. Lyon County Attorney, Carl Peterson, clarified that the 28 E Agreement was in effect until the close of the Fiscal Year on June 30, 2010. The consensus of the two Boards was that the Board of Supervisors would have complete control over economic development and would hire a new Director that would report solely to the Board of Supervisors. The current Lyon County Economic Development Board would become an Advisory Board until June 30, 2010. Effective July 1, 2010, Lyon County Economic Development will be fully funded by the County Budget with no contribution from the Cities. All Cities are asked to review this proposal and be ready to respond at the September 14, 2009, meeting. Announcements The next scheduled meeting is: September 14, 2009, 5:00 P.M., Jury Room, Third Floor of the Lyon County Courthouse. Adjournment A motion was made Leonard Vanden Bosch by and supported by Daniel Moen to adjourn. Motion carried. Ross Loomans Secretary/Treasurer
